Spiritual hygiene is something that is not taught in our schools or churches. Put simply, spiritual hygiene is the process of keeping our mind, body, and soul free of negative attachments. In the same manner that we learn to keep ourselves free from the influence of negative bacteria and viruses, we can learn to free ourselves from spiritual pathogens.
Washing our hands, cooking our food, keeping our home and clothing clean are all procedures that are second nature to most of us. These techniques are designed to rid the body of potentially harmful bacteria and viruses.
Spiritual hygiene practices are designed to rid the body of potentially harmful spiritual pathogens. The following techniques are very useful in cleansing the body of spiritual pathogens.
- Avoid cursing and swearing: Negative thought forms are created by cursing and swearing. These thought forms often attach to their creator. After attaching, these thought forms create negative mental and emotional conditions that can affect you for years.
- Avoid foods high in negative spiritual energy: Pork, asparagus, alcohol, are all high in negative spiritual energy. This energy is easily absorbed by the indwelling miasms within the body. This tends to make the miasms stronger and larger.
- Avoid spending time in bars, brothels, and cemeteries: These places are popular hang outs for earthbound spirits. Spirits that spend time in these places are called hungry ghosts. They have strong mental and emotional needs that they are more than happy to share with each and every one of us.
- Bathe regularly: Some thought forms are easily removed simply by bathing. Some people do not bathe regularly and as a result, these entities can build up over time.
- Memorize a spiritual mantra or divine world prayer: These prayers and mantras raise the base spiritual vibration of the soul and as a result protect the body.
- Avoid watching violent movies and reading violent books: These forms of entertainment help form negative thought forms within the mind.
- Wear protective amulets and medallions. The energy contained in these objects form a protective field around the body that can repel negative thought forms and entities.
